Good evening!--oops morning!

For those of you who have heard me talk about a super cool green fashion show that I would be producing in the Fall of 2009--well it's finally nearing. For those of you who have heard of no such things, please let me be the first to introduce you to Ecologique: Fashion for a Green Future.

Ecologique: FGF is a fashion event is a networking event dedicated to the green couture movement. This event is designed to share with its community the latest in eco-friendly wardrobe alternatives while also highlighting talented artists, designers, and local businesses who support fashion for a green future.

The event will be held at Onyx/Thin on Saturday, October 17th 2009.

Avedon Brilliance

Hey- hey!

So today, my bff Chaz Cruz and friend Leslie took a long lunch and checked out the Avedon Exhibit at The San Diego Museum of Art. In addition to being a master of light, Richard Avedon provided images for magazines such as Vogue, Life and Harper's Bazaar, of which he became chief photographer. Although few fashion- if any- were on display [it was an exhibit highlighting his "power" series] we still got a great glimpse at his talent and history.

This book was layed upon one of the museum benches and I found it a muse in itself...gorgeous images and much intrigue kept between the pages:

So... thank you Mr. Avedon for your inspiration. I now hunger another creative expression!

Sandi came to play!

Hi Friends!

My lovely friend Emily Sandifer came to town last weekend for the ever eventful, and overly nerd saturated- Comic Con! (I can say these things because I too am a nerd) Emily was working the booth all weekend and was kind enough to pay me a visit regardless of her lethargy and sore feet.

We ended up composing a 1920's style quickie-shoot at a Golden hill residence est. 1890. The house was terribly hot and stuffy- as was the light that Emily brought. We were sipping on Vitamin Waters in hopes that they would not only hydrate us, but help our bodies refrain from bloat given that the beverage contains a high dose of vitamin B6! [yes ladies... great lil potion]

So this is one of the pretty pictures we came up with from the shoot:

Latent Print Launch!

Hello darlings!

Come support local artists [journalists, photographers, musicians, etc.] at The Latent Print's Launch party coming Wed. August 5th! It promises to be an enjoyable evening contributing to the San Diego literary and arts community :)

The event will consist of Video Screenings, live musical performances [Trio Gadjo, Drew Andrews Band], and a teaser of Drew Andrew's music video "I Could Write a Book"- in which you get to preview a sneak peek of my fun acting experience!

Begins promptly at 8pm! I will be there and ready to blush & giggle in embarrassment xo

Green things= Good things

Hello Everyone!

I was really stoked when asked to model for an environmentally conscious company out of LA- Green Girl World. Green Girl provides socially responsible goods and accessories [trendy, reusable bags] and really cute ones at that! I actually sport one of their reversible Geisha bags myself --great bag for college textbooks! There are also tons of cool patterns to choose from :)

Good Morning Friendsies!

For the past month I have been busy filming a music video with Drew Andrews of The Album Leaf. I was very excited to be a part of the production not only to be able to work alongside Drew, but I was also stoked to be able to play Drew's girlfriend in which I got to express my emo side :) ! Yeah, that's right--crying, looking pissed, and throwing Drew's belongings off a balcony! Talk about cleansing myself of some of my most inner deeply-kept emotions... lol.

After many, many reels, and triple-quadruple exposures, the polished vid is expected to release this Fall 2009, and will be available for purchase on iTunes along with Drew's latest album, Only Mirrors.

In addition to producing/directing , the video's director, Charlie Yi, has some other magnificent things-a-cooking. Charlie developed an online literary/arts project called The Latent Print. Watch for their debut party coming August 5th, which includes a live performance of Drew and his band at the Whistlestop bar [with possible sneak-peek premier of the music video].

I will def keep you all posted on the official video release date.

New Beginnings

So I found out my old site had a virus! (oh no!)
I do apologize if anyone ran into the *warning* predicament when trying to reach my site.

A new site has been successfully uploaded, so I do not anticipate this problem to be a problem any longer :)

I'm going to make a strong effort, from here on out, to let you know about all of the lovely things that I come across in life as well as keep you posted with my latest updates.
